This is an interesting debate…
I’ve been rolled by a sheep and now have a very painful, bruised calf. It’s been iced all evening but now not sure if I should train tomorrow.
Ahhhh, the blockers to a half marathon finish!
So this is one of the hills I run on in Yass. Nice view on the way down…not so good on the way up!
Apparently the only way to train for hills is to run hills. Who knew! But running downhill should apparently not be a sprint, especially if you have shins like mine. Controlled and concentrating is what I’ve been told. So no making up for time lost on the ascent for me!
Hope you are all out training for Run Y’Ass Off on this lovely Saturday.
Hey all you runners! Just an FYI that we had to make some minor changes to minimise traffic issues for Yassians.
Check the website for more details and if you haven’t already, register! Early bird pricing is still running…no pun intended (ok, it was intended!).
Not every run can be enthusiastically greeted, but even if it is a fast walk you can still get out there and do it.
I’ll post links as I find them…it doesn’t mention shin splints though…doh!
